Wiki states that people haev been getting acceptance letters to Uganda (2011) to leave August 3rd. I haven't been medically cleared yet :( I wonder if this means I am not going there.
Another applicant nominated for the same program and time has heard back from her nurse, so at least I know they are looking at people's medical info that leave within my time frame.
RAS is here, its like an up and down roller coaster. One second I'm ok, the next I'm worried.
Well, it goes like this:
ReplyDeleteWait, wait, wait some more - then you hear back and find out they need more info. Then panic sets in. After you fax everything over, restlessness combines with panic, which basically leaves you nonsensical and seemingly scatterbrained to everyone around you.
From everything I have read, once you fax your extra stuff over, most people hear back the same day or that week. My nurse said they typically don't get faxes until in the afternoon or next day. My nurse though also has really weird hours.
So basically I am a basket-case this week, hoping that my statement was sufficient enough!

ReplyDeleteactually i was supposed to depart earlier but i wasnt cleared medically.
I ended up calling medical to follow up and it may be just me, but it seemed to help speed up the process. I was cleared soon after. You could try that!
