Interviewed- October 6, 2010 - had a very comfortable two hour interview, the interviewer was so nice and it was more like a conversation. Plus, I read a lot of the questions that were posted on wiki and practiced those. During the interview I found out that my old campus recruiter was now my interviewer's boss and he remembered me. :)
Nominated- October 6, 2010 :) she told me during the interview, officially updated on my tool kit October 7
Sent in Medical Packet- January 27, 2011 I didn't make my appointments until December, as I wanted to wait until Christmas break. In hindsight, I wish I submitted my paperwork earlier. But, I'm hoping it will all work out
Peace Corps Received Medical Packet February 7, 2011
Dentally Cleared- February 7, 2011 A few days later they checked off that they received my physical results.
Emailed Placement Officer- February 15, 2011 Asked questions of how I could make myself more competitive for my program. Received a response February 16th
Contacted Nurse- March 3, 2011 (Called) was told that my old nurse no longer worked in that position. Got in touch with my new nurse and was told she would begin looking in two weeks
Contacted Nurse Again- April 22, 2011 (sent email around 6p, so I knew I wouldn't get a response until Monday) Email stated my concern that I would be moving in a month, 7 hours away from the doctor who conducted my physical
Medical Clearance- April 22, 2011 I did not receive a response from the email I sent. However on 26th I received a letter (not an email) from the Peace Corps saying I was cleared :) but my toolkit did not update.
Sent Updated Resume and Changed Departure Date- May 10, 2011 Received response stating that it was updated to my account.
Received Email From Placement- May 12, 2011 General email sent from Placement saying that people's departure date, region, and assignment are most likely to change due to budget cuts
Invited- Oct 21, 2011 whoooo hooo!!!
